Children Sleep Hours and Your Business
We don’t have a poll widget on Dowahdiddy, but I would like to hear from readers about your children’s sleep hours and patterns throughout the day. Sleep patters do vary between children, and this could have a huge impact on your home business.
1. If you have infants or toddlers, do you work during nap time or late at night?
2. If your children attend school, do you work during school hours of 8am-3pm?
3. If you have teenagers, do you work until they come home?
4. I guess if you have kids living at home in College they can take care of themselves.
I ask these questions, because I think it’s important to consider the changing life of your business. Many times we expect much out of ourselves and our business when we have children at home. Did you have different ideas before you started your home business? Are you finding it hard to juggle a home business, career and kids? I find it fascinating how we can all look at our businesses differently. I have friends who have teenagers and wish that they still took naps and went to bed early. On the other side, I have friends and myself included, that wonder when diaper duty will end. If you have a home business that has evolved over the years with your growing family, please share your story with us. I would be interested to hear how your expectations and perceptions have changed over the years.

I have 4 children, which are all at home during the day. My hubby works at home too, so we normally do stuff with the kids during the day and work in the evenings. Our 2 youngest go to bed at 7:30 and the other two about an hour later. My 2 oldest can contain themselves, while I work online but my 2 youngest must be watched. If I need to work during the day, daddy normally keeps up with the kids or I do while he works.
