Home Office Organization Tips

With a home office, you’ll need to declutter and be organized. Here are 4 tips to help you do just that!

  1. STOP THE PAPER TRAIL- Since 80 percent of daily mail is junk, a shreadder is a great investment to help eliminate cutter and make the remaining 20 percent manageable.
  2. MAKE IT PRETTY - If your desk is uninviting and cluttered, you aren’t going to want to sit there. Personalize the area with items like a favorite vase, picture of someone you love, and organizational items like pencils holders.
  3. SAVE OR PURGE - Check with your accountant about what important papers need to be filed and for how long. Once a year, set a date to shred and toss outdated files.
  4. SAVE OR SPLURGE - Shop dollar stores, flea markets, and garage sales for bargain baskets, bins, and desk accessories. Use your budget for more expensive buys, such as closet systems.
