About Us
The Regulars
These are the writers who bring you the best in work at home tips, with a slant on work at home moms and dads.
Welcome! I’m Connie and I’m happy to be a part of this new blog. My blogging career began only a few short months ago but I’ve been hit by the blogging bug. I have two blogs that are updated regularly, Brain Foggles which is my personal and family blog, My Chronic Life which is my health focused blog and Mickey FANatic which is my family travel and all things Disney blog.
I have multiple chronic illnesses which do not allow me to work outside my home. Blogging has become a way to help with my family’s income and a way for me to feel more positive and confident about myself. The great thing about this kind of work is that if I don’t feel well I can take time off because I’m my own boss!
I hope to be able to share information about legitimate ways to earn money while working at home, for people like me - anyone who has some type of medial condition or disability. I often define myself as a disability advocate. Advocates come in different forms. I chose to write and share knowledge often breaking stereotypes. My hope is to do that here along with the other authors.
Welcome to doWAHdiddy. I’m Mary, a freelance writer and mom of three. I’m excited to be a contributor here and look forward to sharing my productivity tips, resources, and research with others looking to join the work-at-home world.
I write about my transition from the traditional workforce to work-at-home mom at my blog, www.everydaybabysteps.com. Feel free to follow my journey toward gainful employment and self-fulfillment and join me in taking the “Everyday Baby Steps” required to get there!
Hi, I’m Scott. I go by many names, but my favorite is “daddy”. I’ve been a full time WAHD and SAHD for 2 years now.
One of my favorite passions is helping friends establish and maintain family budgets and investment goals. I have a personal finance blog called The Passive Dad where I enjoy sharing debt elimination and passive income strategies.
Hi, I’m Sylvia. I’m a SAHM to two little boys and I’ve been married to my wonderful husband for 7 years. I was born and raised in Campbell, Ohio and moved down south 10 years ago. I’m a big family girl, both immediate and extended, they are my life. I enjoy knitting, reading, scrapbooking and pretty much anything I can make from scratch.
I work as a freelance & children’s writer and am in the process of having my first picture book illustrated. Along with several other clients, I currently write for The Handmaiden, a quarterly journal for Orthodox Christian women and Blissfully Domestic, the hottest site on the web! I started my first blog in October of 2007, Adventures of an Orthodox Mom which is a blog that deals with motherhood within the Orthodox faith. That’s when the addiction began….
Now you can now visit me at my newest blog A Tad Bit Prudish, where we share oodles of craft ideas, recipes, decorating tips, product reviews and just about everything else!
I’m basically just a mom trying to figure things out while cooking, cleaning, changing diapers and working from home. There’s still so much to learn and I enjoy learning it! We hope you’ll find inspiration, ideas and support here at doWAHdiddy to help your work at home dreams become a rockin’ reality too. Welcome to our site!
The Irregulars
These are writers who are not currently writing regularly for us, but do have some posts on the site and may pop in from time to time with more.
I’m Jay, the webmaster of doWAHdiddy.org. I’m proud to be a part of the blog, and will write now and then on technical topics related to working online. I have a beautiful three year old daughter who keeps me far too busy to do much more than the occasional post.
I am not, in fact, a stay at home Dad, but have a day job teaching computer programming to college students. So I come by my geekiness naturally! I can only hope that my daughter won’t inherit that gene too strongly…although some of the things that she does with a one-handed swipe at the keyboard I still can’t figure out. Luckily, she also takes after my wife’s artistic side.
Hi! I’m Cynthia and I’m a WAH mom of a teenage son and wife to a recently retired husband (ah, togetherness). I’m an entertainment reporter and a web producer. I’m the author of four books including The Official Buffy the Vampire Slayer Pop Quiz and I have hundreds of articles published on the web and in magazines. I blog for Sheknows.com and SFUniverse and I keep up several of my own TV related blogs including TV of the Absurd, Supernatural Update and Haunted Television.
In addition to being a writer, I love the web and I am proud to say I taught myself how to code in HTML and build WordPress websites (so you can, too!). There are so many opportunities on the web and not just for twenty-somethings! I can’t wait to hear about all the wonderful and creative opportunities you all have made for yourselves and hopefully I can give you some new ideas for working on the web.
I’m Lori, a SAHM who loves to blog. I currently maintain 3 blogs daily, all bringing in a regular income. My Wooden Spoon is all about food & cooking and sharing recipes with my own personal photos. A Cowboy’s Wife is my personal blog. It’s a place where I can talk about ranch life and what ever else pops into my head. Blogging with Cents is my favorite of all 3. It’s about me trying to help others establish their place in the blogosphere, bringing out their blogs full potential, and sharing ways to earn money online successfully.
I’ve only been blogging for one year but am currently bringing in over $800 month. I still have a lot to learn but also feel like I have much to share and that’s why I’m here, to do just that. I look forward to what the future brings and hope you’ll join me and the other authors here in our quest to work at home successfully.
